SNL is making a comeback

I was a huge fan of SNL in the Kristen Wiig era and SNL has produced some of TV's most funny comedians and comedies. This year has been great - Kate McKinnon, Ady Bryant, and Bobby Moynihan being my favorites.

A few weeks ago Jonah Hill hosted... and while I'm not a huge fan of JH, he was awesome during the show. This is hands down my favorite sketch from the show that weekend. Oh gosh, could not stop laughing.

There, I said it.

1) Keep log of my food choices and time/events/feelings that make me choose poorly. Use the reflections notebook/blog/app. Keep track of food and water intake AND exercise successes.

2) Schedule: a long run (3mi +) outside each week. Gym at least 2-3 times a week.

3) Read or Create each day

don't call it a resolution

It's a lifestyle refinement

Most awesome t-shirts you will ever own

I remember seeing DPCTED on etsy a few years ago, then they probably got too awesome and moved to their own site. Last year I got my first dpcted shirts -- and now they have more awesome phrases and colors! And at $20 a shirt, don't you just want to collect them all?

Find all their shirts here.

Portlandia - TV you need.

I started noticing a few weeks ago that a number of FB friends were liking "Portlandia". Luckily Season 1 is on Netflix streaming and I watched all the episodes immediately... and fell in love in about 5 minutes (oh! that opening song!).

Here are a few clips from the first season. Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein are spectacular and I can't wait for Season 2!

This is beyond funny, because, since moving to Seattle, I've become a little picky about where the food comes from and if the restaurant is making an effort to buy and support local.

And who doesn't LOVE Aubrey Plaza!

Rainbow Cupcakes

One of my favorite food blogs, Our Best Bites, features amazing desserts, appetizers, dinners, and snacks. This past weekend I tried their rainbow cupcake recipe. It did not disappoint! I will now be putting yogurt* and food coloring in all the cake batter I make. yum!

*for someone who's blog is named yogurtcupcakes (after my dog), putting yogurt in cupcakes is life changing.
